It has been a jam-packed summer for the team at Leafield Marine. With Autumn fast approaching, here is a little look back at what we did.
At the very beginning of the summer, we made our exhibiting debut at Seawork, Southampton, where we enjoyed 3 days of catching up with customers, suppliers, alongside meeting new friends. As our first ever time exhibiting on a stand it went better than we ever could have hoped for! Despite leaving a legacy as “the seed people”. Our eco friendly giveaway was a huge success and overall it was an excellent introduction to exhibiting, so much so we are back at Seawork in 2027.
The team have also had marvelous opportunities to visit some our clients and suppliers, who were exhibiting at numerous events themselves, including SMM Hamburg, The Emergency Services Show, and The Southampton Boat Show, with every single exhibition as enjoyable as the last. As of now, David Evans, Sales Director, and Robert Pearce, Sales Executive, have made the late summers trip to Strasbourg, to attend The Paddle Sports Show in an event that showcases the very best of what’s to offer in the leisure and sports inflatables world.
Other than seeing friends in the industry, this summer has proved to be an eventful one in our design and engineering departments, as we created and released a new product onto the market. The Pump Raft Adaptor is the newest edition to the Leafield Marine range, and it is one of our most advanced and compact designs yet. Compatible with D7M, D7 and C7 valves, our Pack Raft Adaptor has a simple screw together design, that allows for quick and easy installation into an inflation bag. We are very grateful for our innovative and diverse range of customers, and this summer, we were able to meet many that are situated on the other side of the world. A couple of weeks ago, we welcomed Serming all the way from China, for a conversation about all things valves, as well as a tour of our factory. It was great to catch up with Serming, and we hope to see them soon.
With October now upon us, we now look forward to the Autumn and Winter months. Following the Paddle Sports Show, our sales team will be consecutively travelling to Amsterdam for Metstrade and Orlando, Florida for IAAPA North America in November. Towards the end of the year, we will also be leaving Europe again, and flying to Pennsylvania for the America Outdoor Show. Neither will it be quiet in the engineering team, with a potential new product launch just on the horizon – stay tuned!
